Sgraffito Crows Jar (Cobalt and Lilac)
Approximately 8.5" tall to tip of knob, 3" opening. Black Slip was applied to the white stoneware, and the crow/flower images were then revealed by carving away the negative space. Cobalt blue and Lilac glazes were applied, but ran with the thicker application of the clear glaze. The interior is glazed in Cobaltic Sea, a lovely blue...and the knob is Palladium.
